Vancouver Eats: La Casa Gelato

La Casa Gelato produces over 200 flavours. Very intimidating, but trust me the experience is what makes La Casa so unique.

You walk into the store, and you head to the cashier to purchase your cone. They go by scoops, so a single would be $5, double $7, and so on. After choosing, you get poker chips that signify the amount of scoops that you purchased.

After that, you are free to roam this room, and go around and taste all of the flavours that pique your interest. They have various flavours ranging from fruits to decadent desserts.

The only thing I find… interesting in the experience is how the employees kind of follow you around in order help you when you try out flavours. There was a time where I was so indecisive and I felt so bad because they had to walk around the U-Shaped ice cream bar just to follow me. But, all of the employees I’ve ever had help me have been the nicest and the kindest.Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Aside from being known for their huge selection of flavours, the other thing that La Casa is known for is their pink wall. It’s the perfect 1-800-Hotline Bling color and is perfect as a backdrop when wanting to show off your cones.

The flavours they offer sometimes change so coming in each time feels like a first time.

Definitely cannot wait to come back in  the Summer time!
